§ 03 / Process

From scope
to shipped.

Four phases. Linear when it can be, cyclical when it must be.

01/04

Discover

We sit with you for a week, map the system as it actually exists, and write the brief you wish you'd been given.

1–2 weeks
02/04

Design

Wireframe, prototype, validate. We design with code where useful, and pen and paper where wiser.

3–6 weeks
03/04

Build

Two-week sprints, demo on Fridays. Production-grade from day one — no throwaway prototypes pretending to be finished.

8–24 weeks
04/04

Operate

Launch is a milestone, not a finish line. We monitor, iterate, and stay on retainer for the long tail of every project.

§ 05 / Clients

In good company.

Some of the teams we work with — across health, finance, retail and the public sector.

§ 06 / FAQ

Common questions.

The things prospective clients — and the search engines answering on their behalf — ask us most.

Where is CodeDrips based?

CodeDrips is a software development studio based at 664 Collins Street, Docklands, Melbourne, Victoria 3008, Australia. We have worked with clients across Melbourne, throughout Australia, and remotely since 2018.

What does CodeDrips do?

CodeDrips builds custom software and platforms, mobile apps for iOS and Android, eCommerce and Shopify storefronts, and editorial-grade brand and marketing websites — end to end, from discovery through to launch and ongoing support.

Do you only work with Melbourne businesses?

No. Melbourne is our home base, but we work with clients across Australia and internationally. Most of our collaboration happens over video calls, shared repos and weekly demos, so location is rarely a constraint.

What technologies does CodeDrips work with?

Our core stack spans Node, Postgres, Ruby on Rails and AWS for custom software; Swift, Kotlin and React Native for mobile; Shopify, Next.js and Stripe for eCommerce; and Next.js with headless Sanity for brand sites. We choose the tool to fit the problem, not the other way around.

How much does a software or web project cost?

It depends on scope — we have shipped everything from focused MVPs to nine-figure platforms. After a short discovery conversation we provide a fixed brief and a clear estimate, then work in two-week sprints with a demo every Friday so you always know where the budget is going.

How do I start a project with CodeDrips?

Email hello@codedrips.com with a few lines about what you are building, who it is for, and your rough timeline. We reply within one business day, in plain English.
